So we watched Sybil in psychology about a week ago. I thought it was just going to be some cheesy film that we had to watch since we were studying Multiple Personality Disorder, but it was actually really interesting. Maybe I’m just a nerdy girl that likes my psych class way too much, but I’m so fascinated.

Now I’m here writing a reaction paper about if the real case is true or not. I believe that it couldn’t have been made up. There’s too much to risk by such a successful psychoanalyst, and 16 personalities isn’t over exaggerated because there has been more. It’s also pretty funny that people started doubting the story once every one actually involved in it couldn’t defend themselves because they were dead. Hmm.

Watching Sybil probably isn’t the best idea for me right now. But I haven’t seen it in quite some time and regardless of how true to facts it may or may not be, the impact left is powerful never the less.

And Sally Field is incredibly talented.
